In 2005 I participated in training with the Research Institute of HeartMath, Boulder Creek, California.  I earned my One-on-One HeartMath Provider’s License.  This training has proven beneficial for physical life, as well as spiritual life.  HeartMath techniques allow you to take charge of your physical heart, actually putting it into a cohesive sine wave with healthy heart rate variability that influences every organ and gland of the body for its highest good.  Furthermore, these techniques allow you to access the deep, inner wisdom that comes through the “brain” of the heart.  Ancients honored this wisdom above all thought.  When you have learned these techniques, you will understand why this is so.

After coaching HeartMath1 techniques for a couple of years, I saw the need to be able to offer more support and coaching services to my clients.  Therefore, in 2007, I enrolled in the Institute for Professional Empowerment Coaching (iPEC) and in June, 2008, earned the designation, Certified Empowerment Coach2.  Empowerment means “to make able,” or, if you consider em to mean within, it can be translated, “finding power within.”   The techniques I learned through iPEC allow you to connect with your highest values and function from them in daily living.  The basic skill is called “Core Energy Coaching.”  What would your life look like if you could BE the change you want to see?

Tools and Techniques

Tools and techniques are valuable, only to the extent that they are a means to an end.  The end result of the use of these tools and of our coaching time together is the spiritual discoveries you will make that you can live with.  Following are some of the tools I use on our journey together (not an all-inclusive list):

  • Enneagram3.  The heart of the Enneagram is the universal insight that human beings are spiritual presences incarnated in the material world.  It is a development of modern psychology that has its roots in the perennial philosophy accumulated by Christians, Buddhists, Muslims [especially the Sufis], and Jews [in the Kabbalah] for thousands of years.  It steps aside from all doctrinal differences.  It has helped individuals from virtually every major religious faith to rediscover their fundamental unity as spiritual beings. ©   I ask that you take the RHETI [Riso-Hudson Enneagram Type Indicator] at www.EnneagramInstitute.com because I have found it gives a solid foundation to answer the questions, “Who am I,” and “Why am I here.” 
  • HeartMath® tools and techniques.  See above for explanation.
  • Core Energy Coaching® tools and techniques.  The art of the proper question at the proper time to activate your inner knowing for insights meaningful to your life.
  • Emotional Freedom Techniques.  These are techniques based upon the acupuncture system.  Basically, used for clearing up issues that are old and/or deeply affecting your life.  Simple techniques for releasing the emotional ‘stuckness’ that gets in the way of freedom of being.
